It all starts from within. If you don’t work on loving yourself and accepting yourself as you are in this moment; I can promise you that losing weight, changing your appearance, etc., is never going to be the solution. You’ll be caught in an endless cycle of madness.
I don’t need to write a novel. You know my story. Let it teach you. I thought losing weight would make me “happier” and take care of my problems. It should have killed me and I was even more miserable at 56 pounds and still thought I was fat. Likewise, at 221 pounds, nothing changed. And even at a healthy weight, when I was struggling with bulimia, I still hated myself and thought I needed to change externally. Because you will never be happy with your weight if you aren’t happy with yourself first.
Once I began doing the hard work -the internal work -ripping off the Band-Aids …The work no one wants to do or talk about … Is when my life changed. Is when the scale didn’t matter, food was enjoyable; I was free.
This is all a reality and possible for you too. In fact, I don’t believe there is any other way. You have to love yourself first. Life isn’t about what you see in the mirror, but what you see in yourself. And my gosh, you are all Perfect in Every Weigh. ~Britt
