HOW YOU HANDLE SETBACKS

It’s not when you’ve screwed up, messed up, fallen backwards, given in, made a mistake, done something harmful or given into temptation that defines you as a failure or provides justification to continue “screwing up.” It’s what you do with the aftermath. Do you pick yourself back up? Do you let the tears fall and then turn them into forgiveness? Do you get up the next day and take care of yourself properly?

This is what defines the failures from the successors. I hate using the word “failure” in any form because its been a word I’ve used to label myself all too often, but it’s time to be blunt and honest about recovery and those who make it and those who don’t. If you want to succeed you have to want it bad enough that a stupid slip up is just that and nothing more because you, are worth so much more. ~Britt
