WORTH IT ALL

I have never been in this much pain in my life.

I have never felt so broken and alone.

I have never been so emotionally exhausted.

I have never been so physically unmotivated.

I have never cried this long or hard.

I have never been more ready to throw my hands up and say; “I quit!”

I have never felt this much weight lifted off my shoulders

I have never felt so whole and connected to myself

I have never felt so proud of my mental effort

I have never felt so much compassion towards my body

I have never experienced tears full of healing

I have never been more ready to throw my hands up and say, “I’m ready!”

Recovery is excruciatingly uncomfortable if you are willing to truly give it your all and look at the pain you buried down so deep. It just brings me to tears. But these tears have been buried for over 20 years. It’s the best and the worst. The bleeding and the healing. The breaking and the building. The hardest work ever in exchange for the greatest gift ever. ~Britt
